In partnership with the Portland Art Museum, and Sneaker Week PDX, Word is Bond hosted two specially curated walking tours to celebrate Juneteenth 2024. Leaders from Portland's sneaker industry, Esaie Witherspoon, a senior product manager at Adidas, and Herbert Beauclere, co-founder of Sneaker Week PDX, along with Jaleesa Johnston, head of Public Programs and Engagement at the Portland Art Museum were invited to walk these tours and reflect on the intersection of community, shoes, and race.

The Hidden Truths, a tour of the Woodlawn neighborhood was led by Wiley College freshman and Central Catholic alumni, Jahad Hudson, and Steppin through the Ville, a tour of the New Columbia neighborhood was led by Lincoln High School sophomore, Ayman Ali.
